Mythbuntu revisited – A Christmas LUG

For the last meeting of 2011, we tackled Mythbuntu again. We had tried earlier in the year with limited success, and there is a full write up on the wiki, here:-
Mythbuntu

Ubuntu and consequently Mythbuntu have been updated to a later version since our last attempt, so Jon has decided to try again.

The usb dongle used  is a Disgo usb2.0 DVB-T tv stick,
and the base unit is a small form factor Dell P4 with 1 Gig of memory.
The motherboard is Intel with integrated graphics.

The hardware for this project was supplied by www.pcrecycler.co.uk through the Blackpool computer club.

The technical stuff, as Donald and Jon install and configure Mythbuntu.

Success, we have channels. Saturday Morning cooking on TV.
Notice the Christmas tree lights around the screen, and mince pies in the background. – Thanks Les, 2011 ends in style at the Blackpool LUG.
