Blackpool LUG and Makerspace

Tony, Les, Elizabeth. Keiran, Ollie, Donald, Joe, Simon from Preston Hackerspace and a warm welcome to newcomer, ‘surly Dev’, and not forgetting me of course…….Mike

No specific projects were undertaken this week, it was more of a social gathering and catch up. Although Les did bring a combined humidity and temperature sensor and demonstrated it using an Arduino.
One of the highlights for new members is typing in the 26 bit Hex code for wireless access. Donald decided to make things easier for android users by producing a ‘QR’ code to do the job.

Recently, the meetings have been extended by an hour to accommodate our quest to evolve into a Makerspace, the extension has been a success, so an additional hour is being added. The Saturday sessions will now run from 10 – 2. Should the extra time prove to be popular, I will look at opening for the full day.
